How to Build Your Schedule in Shovel
Building a schedule with Shovel is very easy. All your courses and activities are in the left sidebar, and you can drag and drop them into your calendar to create events. If you need to add more courses or activities, just click the button 'Add New.' After you drop an item in and the tooltip appears, you can set the repeat pattern for this particular event. For example, your engineering lecture would repeat every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you have a biweekly schedule, just change it to every two weeks.
Unlike other calendar apps, you can even create an event that repeats on random days. This way, you can create any repeat pattern you desire by selecting individual days. If your events don't start on a five-minute interval, you can type in exactly when they start, and you can also resize each event by dragging the top or bottom to the desired length. If you need to move an event to a completely different time, just hold it down and drag it.
Play around until you create the week you'd like to have. And remember, it's not forever. You can always change your schedule based on how each week unfolds. This is just the foundation for getting started.
