Everything In One Place
Give your mind the full capacity it needs for thinking and studying. You cannot have deadlines floating around in your mind. Another bad strategy is keeping four different syllabi in four different places. That sets you up for constantly checking if you haven't missed anything, and inevitably, you will.
The best way to get yourself organized and get rid of anxiety is to have every task from every class in one place, preferably from day one. And if you tell me that you don't want to add all of your tasks into one place because it will take some time, my answer is that it may only take a few minutes since you can import your tasks from most learning platforms directly into Shovel. But even if you have to create your tasks manually, we built features into Shovel that will make task creation fast and easy. But most importantly, if you're not willing to invest an hour or two setting up your syllabi for success, you may want to ask yourself if you're willing to invest the hundreds of hours it will take to get A's in all of your classes. I can promise you this: spending some time setting up your tasks inside Shovel will save you a ton of time when the semester gets crazy. You won't have to frantically flip through four different syllabi or keep things in your head, and a deadline will never creep up on you. All it takes is a small investment of time upfront, and you'll be reaping the benefits all semester long.
