Create Repeat Tasks
Learn how to create multiple tasks at once in Shovel. This is especially useful if you have weekly quizzes, problem sets, readings, or any task that repeat on a regular basis.
Currently you can only create a repeat task on the web-app and not on the mobile app.
1. Set the due date of the first task
Also set:
- Course
- Task category
- How many days before the deadline you want to get started
- How long you will work on the task (estimate)
This task will act as a “template” for the repeat tasks that follow
2. Click the “Repeat Task” button
From the top “+ Task” button

From the task list

From the “Plan” sidebar

Set Repeat Pattern
Example: Every Week On Wednesday, or you can set something like every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if there’s a repeat task like reading from the textbook for each class.

Set When Task Stops Repeating

Copy Attributes of The First Task to The Following Tasks

Confirm (Set Dates)

Click “Next”

Check Dates and Edit Repeat Tasks if Necessary
You can edit each task name, delete tasks from a specific date, change the task estimate, or change how many days before the deadline you want to get started for each task.

Click “Create”
